English: One year after planting, this impressive understory, designed and installed by Aaron Guman at Green Light Plants, was thriving. The young pawpaws were surrounded by rings of wild indigo
(Baptisia australis), lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), "Hidecote Blue" comfrey (Symphytum grandiflorum 'Hidcote Blue'), Turkish rocket (Bunias orientalis), and green and gold (Chrysogonum virginianum). In between these areas, raspberries (Rubus idaeus) were planted. |
