Robert's love for design started from his parents. His father Preston, who was an engineer, and his mother Beth a graphic designer. Preston ran his own business with a main focus of furniture making. So at a very young age, Robert learned not only to endure the mind-numbing chore of sanding, but also an appreciation for every aspect of design and craft.
