  1. 4-5 bunches Pechay or Bok Choy, chopped
  2. 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  3. to taste Salt and pepper
  4. Sesame oil for drizzling
  5. 1/4-1/2 c Fine (grind) Bulgur / Burghul cracked wheat / Burgoul / Bulgar
  6. as needed Boiling water,
  7. 1/2 Stock cube (optional)

Cooking Instructions

20mins
  1. 1

Stir fry the pechay with garlic (and onions if desired), S&P, and drizzle sesame oil on it then set aside. Recipe found here: https://cookpad.com/us/recipes/13163798-quick-sesame-pechay-stir-fry

  2. 2

For 1/2 a cup of finely ground Bulgur (the kind used for Tabbouleh), use (less than, like 7/8ths) a cup of boiling water or water mixed with stock cube, if desired.

  3. 3

Combine in a bowl or container with salt and cover 10 mins or until all liquid is absorbed. No need to cook on the stove, the boiling water will cook it. Fluff with a fork.

  4. 4

Once the bulgur is ready, mix it with the stir-fried pechay. Serve as a side with your protein.
