American Thunder is a wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri, USA. The ride is a clone of Thunderbird at PowerPark in Finland.
History
The ride was officially announced in 2007.[1] It opened on June 20, 2008 as Evel Knievel. In 2010, as part of a wider termination of licensing agreements across the Six Flags chain, the company announced that the coaster would be renamed American Thunder for 2011 and that the Evel Knievel branding would be removed.[2]
