In this craft I will be using about five pieces of these wood palettes from Dollar Tree and a wired dew twine. First I will paint all of the wooden palettes with the Waverly ink. And I'll situate that it is totally covered in between spaces and so with the inside. Then once dry I will rub these tealight onto there because I want to have a cheapy finish on this craft. So once done, I will paint this with the Waverly Mineral. Using a cheap brush I will just apply one coat and just lightly brush it. It's just the front and the sides but not the inside. So once it's done I have this sander that I bought from Amazon. I just lightly sand this. And you can see that chippy right away. It really looks so distressed and I love how it is transformed. And all of them I just want them to look distressed. So once it's done, I will now start to assemble it. Starting to just put it on the sides. I'm using E 6000 and hot glue to do that. You can see that on the video how I assemble it. E 6000 for permanent bond. So these small palettes will be on the sides and I'll do the same thing. I will also put E 6 000 and hot glue. Then I just glued in in between you know just to make them glued more sturdy. So now I will just set it aside once done. Now I'm going to the wired jute. I will cut about eight inches of this a piece. So I will be making about three pieces. I will cut about three pieces. And then now I will just put three pieces together and I will just wrap around a dew twine from Dollar Tree. So I just glued it there. Then once finished you can see that it's becoming ah thicker. And so I'm going to glue on the sides. And I will just stick it right in the middle and push it to the side. I hope you like this craft everybody. I like colors when it comes to spring especially it's the first day of spring so I want this colorful but I just made the cart or this basket to be looking very distressed and vintage. But of course the flowers I want them colorful because it's spring. So I also put a bird there. So let us see. What will be the outcome. Then I have this floral foam. I will just glue it there and then on top of that to cover it and to look real I put the Spanish moss from Walmart. And once done I am going to start to just assemble these artificial flowers in leaves. So it really is all up to you if you like neutral colors. It's all up to you. I'm just giving the tutorial of how I made the basket. So I hope you love watching this video because it's a pretty nice basket. So everything that I put there is optional. So whatever flowers and artificial leaves you have you can just stick it there. So now I have this ah twig. I would just stick it there. And then to make it really very nice to represent the ah spring time I would just put this bird there. And it's really very pretty. I just love the color of the bird. It it's really for spring. So now I need something else. I want to ah I'm sorry I'm going to make a very simple bow. Everything is distress. The bows, the cloth that I use are coffee stained. If you want to know the Grunch Mix please just drop a message on the comment section and I'm going to get back to you. And you can see I'm just ah using coffee stained cloth there. The coffee stained cloth and so with the cart they're ah distressed and vintage looking. But the flowers, the artificial flowers and the bird they are very ah very nice for spring. Very colorful. So it's just a combination of a distress and ah colorful kind of craft. So you can see my bow is so pretty. Once I'm happy with it I am going to tie it tightly with a dew twine. So now I'm going to glue it there. And I will make a message here. Welcome spring because this is ah definitely ah for spring. And I just spelled out the word welcome spring. And I use a scrapbook paper. You can use any scrapbook paper. You can design your your paper there where you going to put your message. I just want it simple because I want the attention to be focused on the arrangement because it's really colorful. It's really for spring. And so with the basket as well, it really is very distressed. So I love the combination of the finish of this craft. So now I'm going to make it look distressed again using this dark antique wax by Bear that I bought from Home Depot. I just lightly brush it onto the scrapbook paper where the message is you know using eye shadow brush and then I put it there and then I have this like a leather flower. I just put it there. So if you're going to make something like this you can use a button. And you can see the twine there. The jute twine you can just bend it because it is a wired jute twine. I take the four palettes and set them up side by side making sure they're nice and even with each other. I measure up from the bottom two and a half inches and mark those and put some masking tape along all of those on those markings. Underneath the tape, I'm painting it with plaster color chalk paint and I make sure to get in between each of those slots on there as well as the edges of all of them. I remove the tape and then touch up the sides and the backside of the palette. Once that paint is done and dry on each of them I tape off the plaster chalk paint and paint the other section with linen color chalk paint by Folk Art. And again I paint the sides in between the slots and the back. Next I'm taking the candle holder and painting that with a linen color chalk paint as well. I make sure to give that a couple coats. And then after I have that painted and that paint is dry I cover it with a matte varnish by Waverly that'll seal on the paint so it doesn't chip. And then add some hot glue to the side of one of the palettes. And then hold another palette up against that. So it's in the shape of like an L. And then flip it over and do the same thing on the other side. And then I hot glue the final one on the top. Just adding hot glue where they'll meet. And then flip it over so I'll be working with the bottom of it which is the linen color. I placed some craft sticks along the bottom. I needed five for the bottom portion and then another two to glue across them. I take the five that will be going inside and trim one of them down. And then take that one as my guide and cut the other four to match up with that size. I then line all of those up that I had cut down to size and take the other two and hot glue them across all five of those. I then add some hot glue to the bottom of the palettes and then place down the craft sticks and I make sure that the pieces that are glued against those is facing upward into the palettes. I then paint the bottom of that with the linen color chalk paint. I then added some hot glue to the bottom of the candle holder since it's smaller and it'll be able to fit in between the palettes. So I glued that to the craft sticks. That is it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.
