Aulonocara (OB Peacock) — The OB Peacock is a hybrid, created by crossing a male Aulonocara species with an OB female mbuna (rock dweller). The “OB” stands for Orange Blotched. OB Peacocks do best with a sandy substrate, which allows them to search for food easily. They’re also a peaceful fish and may be kept with larger, semi-aggressive fish; however, care must be taken if mixed in smaller tanks (less than 55 gallons) with other mbuna or rock dwellers.
