This is a raven ZZ! It grows green, then changes colors to black. Forget you have it! If you want strong and thick stems, light will be your best friend for her! Give her 8-12 hours under a grow light or keep up close to a window ( at least 300 fc if measuring with a light meter)

Soil mix used: indoor potting soil, orchid bark, perlite

If you have soft and mushy rhizomes or soft stems, that’s a sign that you are watering too often and a combo of low light. If you can catch it in time, you can chop like I did in the video and repot it.

Known as the red jungle cactus this plant is classed as a cactus, I find that watering every two weeks helps this plant to thrive it needs moist soil. Please ONLY use rain or distilled water this cactus hates chemicals in tap water and it turns the leaves dull in colour. When planting this cactus loves orchid bark in its soil, it can’t tolerate direct sunlight as it’s native to rainforest where there is lots of filtered light so please consider this when positioning Fern Leaf Cactus, Jungle Cactus House Plants, Jungle Cactus, Monstera Thai Constellation Care, Thai Constellation Monstera Care, Golden Rat Tail Cactus, Orchid Bark, Tap Water, Distilled Water

Krystal Duran on Instagram: "Orchid are epiphytes. They grow on top of other plants and are not anchored in the soil. Epiphytes take up their nutrients from water, air, and debris around them.

Living in Indiana, fall and winter temperatures get less than 55 degrees consistently which would prevent us from being able to anchor orchids or other plants to trees so this will just have to do.

When choosing a board, choose one that is rot resistant. I used cork bark since it doesn’t rot but it’s also very easy to make holes in. It’s fairly plyable.

Hang in a spot that will get light, water the moss when it’s almost dry, and you can incorporate liquid orchid fertilizer in the water when blooms fall off.

Now we can live our orchid hanging dreams… inside 🌸
