So many veneer repairs that I had to paint the body, but I was able to save the top and drawers. Original hardware was cleaned with the hardware soup process. Can you believe I didn’t paint that gold?! This one was a definite save. It was headed to the landfill and now has a new chance to be enjoyed for many years to come. #cherrywood #1940s…

Upper cabinet was totally disassembled. - All pieces shortened 6 inches. - Door frames shortened and reprofiled . - Door glass shortened on a wet saw. - Back mirrors replaced with beadboard. - All pieces reassembled, sanded, primed , painted and poly applied. - Finished unit hung on the wall with 3 inch screws into the studs.- Both top and base were brush painted with flat paint and 3 coats of water based semi gloss floor poly. - Done! Lots of work but well worth it.
