Clitoria ternatea also known as butterfly-pea, blue-pea, and cordofan-pea, is a plant species belonging to the Fabaceae family. The shape of the flower suggests some of the name due to the the shape of the flower resembling human female pudenda, hence the Latin name of the genus "Clitoria" from "clitoris".
