A painting done for Magic the Gathering. This was a really fun one to do!

The Royal Redanian Army was the core of the armed forces of the kingdom of Redania. They took part in the Second Northern War with Nilfgaard, during the battles at Brenna and Maribor. In the battle of Brenna, the Redanian forces participating in the initial charge were led by Kobus, 9th Count de Ruyter. The High Elf Archers use longbows made from alternating layers of wood, taken from the many forests around Ulthuan, which endow them with great power and range. Each longbow is cherished by its user, as a great deal of pride and care is placed into the act of fletching new arrows to for battle. On these arrows there are usually intricate patterns and ruins, this is very practical for High Elf Archers to do because after the battle they can prove which foes were slain by their arrows.
