When plates have a chance to firm up before being flipped for trimming they are less likely to sag and warp. It can be tricky to determine but patience is key and often I’ll nurse plates to the right stage of dryness over the course of several days covering and uncovering them until they are ready.

Had to edit away a lot of the process to not get a short enough reel. Might show shaping the rim decor another time if you’re interested?
