Biography
Dorothee Oberlinger is one of the top recorder players in the contemporary European scene. She is also a notable educator. She has a substantial catalog of recordings on Deutsche Harmonia Mundi and other major labels. Her recording debut came in 2002 with Vivaldi: Concerti per Flauto. She released the album Night Music in 2019. In 2023, she was heard on the album Alessandro Scarlatti: Baroque Influencer. Many of her more recent recordings have been of Baroque opera, including Carl Heinrich Graun: Adriano in Siria (2025). Oberlinger has been a professor at the Salzburg Mozarteum since 2004, and she is also the first deputy director of the school's Institute for New Music.
