Add Clew to Your Browser

All the goodness, right from your search bar

Want the goodness of Clew, right from your browser's search bar? It's easy to set up!

Clew implements OpenSearch, so most browsers can automatically detect it.

Firefox

To add Clew to Firefox, this support article is what you need. Just right click on the address bar and select Add "Clew Search".

To manage your search engines, visit about:preferences#search in your address bar. You can set Clew as your default search engine or add a keyword to easily search with it.

Chromium

In Chromium and browsers based on it (such as Google Chrome and Vivaldi), you can manage search engines at chrome://settings/searchEngines. Now that you've visited the Clew website, Clew should appear as an "Inactive Shortcut" in the section at the bottom of the page. Select "Activate" to add Clew to your browser.

From the same page, you can then add a shortcut to use Clew or make it your default search engine.

Safari

As far as we can tell, Safari does not support custom search engines. 😔

You can still use Clew by visiting the site, you just won't be able to use it in your search bar. Perhaps set it as your home page, so that it's automatically loaded when you open Safari?
