Top floor of the hab pod for the HADES Strike Cruiser Persephone

The Top floor of the hab pod for the HADES Strike Cruiser Persephone.

All furniture from Mad Mecha Guy.

I need to get armory racks, med bays and etc... probably from National Cheese Emporium
https://www.shapeways.com/shops/javelin98… That will all be for the first floor.

The bay is big enough for my smaller vehicles and the Aurora. The other pod with four bay doors I think is even big enough for my HADES and Apocalypse, although I haven't have a chance to test yet.

Super excited about this, and I think I could even do a small game just in here. It also has a helipad on the roof section, this pod could be dropped off somewhere as a temp HQ for operations.

And here's a WIP of the full spaceship:

Any suggestions for detailing?

[WIP] Taskforce 414 Operatives...

Still have the heads and matte varnish to do... And then putting them on bases.

I'm going to put them on my laser cut acrylic bases, but haven't decided whether to have them on clear bases or painted bases.

What do you folks think of clear bases?

This is a painted version of the base i'll be using:

WIP - Corporate Operative and Aurora Stealth Shuttle

I'm working on the corporate version of the new, upcoming VTOL, the Aurora:

I'm painting the agent in the same colors. I'd imagine this belongs to an executive, or possibly a corporate "cleaner"...

Feedback is welcome!

It is still available for pre-order here:  http://www.clearhorizonminiatures.com and it comes with an unreleased, free, covert operates pack. (normally $2.99)

WIP Hell Diver Covert Ops Team

WIP Hell Diver Covert Ops Team… a figure from the Omega pack and two from the Alpha Squad with Omega head swaps.  The CLIFFORD drone pictured in the middle with the optional twin-linked squad support weapon option.

I'll probably put one more figure with a SAW (from the Alpha Pack), and these will be my team for deploying from the upcoming Aurora.

I'm very happy how the head swaps are going so far.  My plan is for these to be painted mostly in blacks (with dark greys) which is one of the reason I wanted the exposed heads so I could add a bit of color.

The bases are temporary and will eventually have my laser etched hex bases attached.

WIP Sculpts for the Upcoming Kickstarter - Epsilon Squad and Hura Technocracy.

Sean, the sculptor, has sent these WIP shots along.  I should have the finished sculpts soon and will be starting the Kickstarter soon as well!  What do you folks think?

Video - Applying a Liquid Masking to a 15mm Scale Raven VTOL

Hi everyone,

I've posted another video up, this time on how to apply liquid masking agent around the canopy of a Raven VTOL.

I also ramble about airbrush painting and a variety of other things.

Check it out here:

WIP: Opposition Forces: ARM Corp Security Contingent

Hi everyone,

While I await my Hell Divers to arrive next week (!) I've been working on a small force of ARM Corp Security forces based on the story and scenario I have written up.

You can see the Satlink that they are guarding in the back.   I'll have to build up the unit cards for these guys soon. It'll probably be around 70 points or so.

The troops are Rebel Minis drop troopers and the vehicles are from GZG.

I still have a lot of detail work and decals to do...

Two squads of (8) from Rebel Minis

The full force with the satlink in back and base defense up front.

WIP Terrain - Brigade Models Hi-Tech Buildings with Micropanzer Crates

I'm working on my buildings from brigade games... they are very cool.

I got 8"x10" acrylic sheets from Lowe's (~$1.50 each).  I then scored and cut them to 6" x 6".

I also had the paint department match my graveyard earth color and got a pint, I'm very happy how they are turning out.

This is my inspiration: (from Anno 2070)

I've never used the acrylic sheets before, but I like them... no warping, easy to cut, cheap and thinner than mdf

I am also putting the crates I got from micropanzer on the bases...the styles match well.

Here are the WIP pictures:

WIP - Miner Contract Strikers - Freedom Fighters

Somewhere on a colony world the contract workers have gotten fed up with their treatment at the hands of the parent corp.

With the "help" of some anonymous backers (likely rival corps) they have started their insurgency:

The freedom fighters fighting against an unfair contract

The freedom fighters fighting against an unfair contract

Fuel is in short supply and horses, brought from off-world for racing and then stolen, are quiet.  Quick ambushes are easily accomplished from horseback.

The mining vehicles become makeshift APCs

Part of the "regulars", those with prior military experience we put in units and equipped with military-grade stuff

A little bit of money goes a long way when you hire one of the best merc teams in the sector

An embedded reporter brings stories of the plight of the workers to the public.

From the Komodo to the Iguana, another lizard, another WIP. The Iguana from Khurasan Miniatures.

Hi Everyone,

I'm working on my Iguana from Khurasan Miniatures (http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/15mmscifi-vehicles.html).   It's a really cool vehicle and it actually fits great with my Warthog from Antenocitis Workshop.

The iguana's suspension allows for a lot of variation.  I plan on getting at least one more and I'll have that one all the way on the ground, instead of this version with is as high as it goes.  Each wheel pair can also rotate so if you wanted to have some really fancy wheel and suspension position you could.

Also, the casting quality was superb... I really like this model.

I've placed the finished Warthog (I just got another one to build) next to it to show a comparison.

I still have most of the highlighting to do, and the decals.

WIP: Merc Dropship - Tau "Conversion"

Working on my Merc Dropship:

It works perfect for 15mm scale, it could easily carry 20 - 25 mercs in there.

I'm going to say the front two semi-circles are docking clamps. What, you've never seen an interstellar spaceship before?

WIP: Space Pirates and UNSC/L

Working on my Crimson Hegemony (Rebel Minis Pan-galactic).  The one with a helemt has the helemt courtesy of CMG Arc Fleet.  I'll also be repainting the Drone from yellow to red.

And my first UNSC paint:

Still have to finish painting him.  I think I might do a blue/white camo scheme on the vehicles.
