These Terms govern your use of the Clypy applications, website, licensing, support, and relay services. By downloading, purchasing, or using Clypy, you agree to them. You must be legally able to enter this agreement; if you use Clypy for an organization, you confirm that you can bind it.

Clypy grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the software on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable store rules. A Pro lifetime purchase unlocks the advertised Pro features without recurring subscription fees and may be used on any number of devices you own or control. It does not transfer ownership of the software, include future products sold separately, or permit resale or sharing of a license key.

Clypy does not require a Clypy account. Our payment provider processes checkout and sends the information needed to fulfil and verify a purchase. Keep your receipt and license key secure. You are responsible for activity using your key and must contact support if you believe it has been exposed. We may replace or deactivate keys used fraudulently or outside these Terms while preserving legitimate access where reasonably possible.

Do not use Clypy to violate law or another person's rights; access or distribute content without permission; introduce malware; attack, overload, probe, or bypass security controls; interfere with other users; reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it; or resell, sublicense, or provide the product as a hosted service without written permission.

You retain your rights in content you place in Clypy and are responsible for having permission to store, sync, and use it. You grant Clypy only the limited rights needed to transmit encrypted sync data and operate services you request. Our Privacy Policy explains the information handled by the product and providers.

Clypy is local-first, and some functions continue offline. You are responsible for device access, backups, exports, and recovery materials. Pairing and encryption are designed so Clypy cannot read synced clip content. If all paired devices and recovery keys are lost, we cannot decrypt or restore that content. Sync, relay, update, and verification services may be interrupted, changed, or retired; we will use reasonable care and notice for material changes where practical.

Direct paid purchases include a 14-day money-back guarantee from the purchase date, unless a longer mandatory right applies. Use the Billing page to retrieve purchase details or request help using the payment ID from your receipt. Purchases made through Apple, Google, or another marketplace are also subject to that marketplace's billing and refund process. Refunds return access to the applicable free tier and do not restore deleted data.

App stores, payment processors, email providers, operating systems, and optional transports are governed by their own terms. We may provide fixes, security updates, or new versions and may require an update to keep online features secure or compatible. Feature descriptions and compatibility may change as platforms evolve.

You may stop using Clypy at any time. We may suspend online services or a license for fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or a material breach of these Terms. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure. On termination, your right to use paid features ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clypy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable as the only copy of important data. Clypy is not a password manager or guaranteed secret-detection system. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clypy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our total liability for claims relating to a paid purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase. These limits do not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

We may update these Terms as the product or law changes. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
