Noongar seasons

Noongar seasons activity. My year 3's worked in small groups to create one of the six seasons. Students poster then all fitted together as per the amazing Murdoch Noongar seasons poster found at http://www.noongarculture.org.au/food/. The poster size is 3 x 3 A3 paper taped together on one side. The students loved becoming an expert on their season to teach the class. Looks great on the wall. #k3teacherscomp

The Bidi Katitjiny Aboriginal Women’s Trail runs through an area of Piney Lakes Reserve which was utilised by Noongar women throughout the year, over the Noongar six seasons. The Noongar six seasons each represent a different period of activity dependant on the weather and the cycles of nature.

This season is hot with little to no rain! The Pink and Gray Gallah can be heard squawking in the early hours of the morning! This board i designed and painted for our bushtucker garden!

There are 6 seasons in Perth WA according to Noongar tribe of the Southwest…. Each one is unique to our country. Djilba is the season of yellow flowering plants and Djeran the flying ants. These designs i created and painted for school bushtucker garden!
