The Great Southern Railway of Ireland was the dominant provider of rail and road transportation in Ireland (Eire) from its formation in 1925 under it became the core of CIE in 1945. The company heavily promoted Eire as a tourist destination such as these motor coach tours - this is the 1937 leaflet.

St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland is always a time of colorful celebration. Here is a set of fun elements to use in any Irish related theme. The letters, motifs and illustration are basically traditional but given a modern twist. The harp is golden, and the men are holding up their glasses of Guinness. A private commission for a client. Six colour screen printed map of Nothern Ireland.

A view of an isolated moorland farmstead evokes wide open spaces on this, the 1935 tours brochure issued by the London Midland Scottish Railway - Northern Counties Committee to publicise their rail and coach systems. The printing is interesting - almost like the Berthe system used by Batsford for their book covers at this period (and exemplified by the artworks of Brian Cook) - this could be one of the similar rubber mat processes such as Permamat.
