Kitt Shapiro - Eartha Kitt, star of TV, film, music and stage, died Christmas Day 2008 of colon cancer at the age of 81. Now, her daughter, Kitt Shapiro, is introducing a new lifestyle brand called Simply Eartha. "My mother often introduced us to people, saying, 'I'm Eartha and she's Kitt,' as if I completed her," says Shapiro, 51, on her website, an offshoot of EarthaKitt.com. "And, in some ways, I guess I did."

Kitt Shapiro has written a book about the relationship she had with her famous mother.
