Walking in the woods

As a Bay Area newborn and family photographer, I love shooting at these locations in the San Francisco Bay Area! These are all within 50miles of the Airport and very iconic if you're looking to celebrate a key milestone through yearly family photos or if you're visiting the area and looking for location ideas to remember your trip by! All these images were shot using a Canon 5D MKIV and natural light! I shoot only during the golden hour so it makes for lovely portraits!

Shinrin-yoku is the name given to the Japanese art of "forest bathing," contemplative walks through the woods that reconnect the individual with nature and can lead to decreased stress, natural mood elevation and even a stronger immune system.

We started tracking very early in the morning, in total darkness. After a couple of hours the light penetrating the forest canopy, which when blended with the early morning mist gave an eerie and disconcerting mood. Tracking bears only added to the atmosphere! www.wildtransylvania.com
