Hopefully you saw the girls bedroom reveals, today I am sharing how we added a seat cushion to their built-in window seat and roman shades to the windows. The window treatments were kind-of a necessity! And now the window seat is an extra cozy spot to sit and hang out. I decided to go with a white linen on both.
Black and white block print curtains layered over a beige roman shade cover a window frame by white and beige wallpaper and positioned behind a blue velvet French daybed.

Hello! We got back two months ago from our big trip (details of which can be found here) and I promptly set about deconstructing the bunk beds in Emma's room. Instead of fighting against the constraints of small space living, embrace it. We love the idea of creating a sleeping nook, a room within a room, for children. It’s cozy and safe and can work well when square footage is a challenge. We spotted this sleeping nook over at My Notting Hill. The child’s room is part of the Washington Design Center’s Spring Design House. The built-in unit includes storage, a small bed, and a trundle bed underneath for sleepovers.
