Talk:Plant
Most creationists interpret the events described in Genesis 2 as simply a retelling of the same story in Genesis 1, but in a different way - emphasizing different aspects of the events. God finished the creation on day 6. He did not create animals and plants again later after Adam was created in Genesis 2. He created both Adam and Eve on the 6th day of creation.
In Genesis 2:2 it states 2 "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work." Then in Genesis 2:4 it begins again with a retelling - "This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created."
Note in Genesis 1:27 it says - in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. But it doesn't describe the specifics regarding the creation of Eve until Genesis 2.

Plant Taxonomy
Since there are disagreements among various taxonomic systems, it is important to standardize what the CreationWiki will use.
The Wikipedia uses a new plant taxonomic nomenclature proposed by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group. This system is not adopted or used by the USDA, which has utilized a great many historic research publications to develop its taxonomic database.
Given the significant differences between these two systems, we are officially making it policy for authors to utilize the taxa specified by the USDA plant database when defining any particular plant.
