Negozio Olivetti (Piazza San Marco 101) The Olivetti showroom in the old Procuratie building on the Piazza San Marco was transformed by Carlo Scarpa in 1957 and 1958. He changed the long, dark alley into a light, comfortable place. He added windows, created transparencies in the interior and used artificial lighting and glass tiled floors to reflect the light. The marble staircase in the back of the showroom is a real eye catcher.
