base ceramics on Instagram: "Figuring out how to glaze this Big Bowls!✨I wanted to dip them in glaze but they are too wide to fit in a regular 5GL bucket and my glaze dries and thickens too fast to pour it, so I am using the glaze shooter, but it can be a bit messy 🤭 I found a giant pan / livestock feeding bucket 🐄🤣 that is doing the trick for now, but I still think airbrushing would be the best solution! Pros of airbrushing the glaze 〰️ Get an even smooth surface faster 〰️ Be able to do gradients 😱 Cons: 〰️Airbrushing can waste a lot of glaze 〰️A spray booth takes up a lot of space 〰️I need to get an air compressor I think I see airbrushing glaze in the near future 🔮 but let’s see if I can figure out a compact and easy to use system! #handmadepottery #handmadeceramics #ceramicg Spray Booth, Big Bowl, Near Future, Air Compressor, Be The Best, Handmade Pottery, Compressor, Handmade Ceramics, Dip

This is great if you prefer a guide when carving, painting or for Mishima techniques. The ink from the market will burn away in the bisque so this isn’t a final finishing technique but it can be super helpful if you aren’t confident drawing directly on the clay or would like to easily repeat a design.
