My newest craft experiment. This is a granny smith, peeled and carved into a face. I let it dry in my toaster oven on warm during the day and just on the counter at night. It was spongy-dry in about 3-4 days. 1/2 way through drying, I put white beans into the eyes and the eye brows dried over the beans like eyelids.
