Many thanks for the recent comments on my misty trees shots from the New Forest. All very much appreciated. Just to respond to a few queries - the mono conversion usually takes place in RawShooters Pro (I know it's old but I like it - I think it went onto to be something called Lightroom - wondered what happened to that?) and I just experiment with the shadow and light contrast sliders until I achieve the look I'm after. A cars headlights shines through the thick fog before sunrise at The Dark Hedges. The Dark Hedges is an avenue of 300 year old beech trees situated along Bregagh Road 3 miles from the village of Stranocum. They are a tourist attraction and are photographed regularly. Game of thrones fans will recognise it as the location used for The Kings Road.
