It then gets infected and creates almost like an abscess on the bottom of their foot. It’s fairly easy to treat so don’t worry! We start by soaking the foot in a bath of warm water and epsom salt. 5 minutes is a good place to start, but a worse case could require a longer soak. Once the foot has been soaked for a bit, find the problem area and gently push on the opposite side of the mass, slowly working it out. It will be scab-like, so you should be able to gently push it out. If you’re having trouble, a longer epsom soak may help! Once the mass has been removed, I like to clean the area really well with rubbing alcohol.
