Emily on Instagram: "I was stressed. I envisioned a new outfit but I would need to make the skirt. So instead of dealing with the stress healthily and going to bed to get a good night’s sleep, I started sewing this skirt at 11:00pm.

It’s called self care 💆‍♀️ 💁‍♀️

A few weeks ago, I made a poll in my stories asking if I should make a Peppermint Wrap Skirt or Clo Bias Skirt with this fabric. 53% said Wrap Skirt, which I was already leaning toward, so that little bit of a majority was the positive reinforcement I needed.

//Mods: Skirt lengthened 1”. Waist ties lengthened 6” each. I serged the seams instead of doing French seams, because, like I said, self care.

Melody on Instagram: "Took some pics of my latest #clobiasskirt, channeling my inner librarian—haha! 📖 I purchased this beautiful linen fabric from South Korea’s Dongdaemun market last year. I don’t know why I didn’t get more of this fabric! The 2m I got was the perfect amount for the Clo though. It’s a bit heavier than mid-weight, drapes like a dream on the bias, and I love the diagonal stripes. Decided to go with a wider drawstring, cut on the bias from the leftover fabric for something different. Even though it’s a casual outfit, I can totally see this skirt dressed up too.
