Your leg day workout doesn’t have to be all squats and lunges to build a fatty. 

These three glute exercises should be staples in your routine even if you’ve got happy knees. 

1. HIP THRUSTS 

Why I like it: the movement pattern is simple. You lengthen your glutes at the bottom and then load them as you rise up. Think of your muscles like a rubber band. They get a whole bunch of power if you can lengthen it before unloading it.

2. STAGGERED STANCE HINGE 

Why I like it: it helps address asymmetry in our body, but because you still have that kickstand foot, you aren’t worried about balance and can load the movement a little heavier! 

3. GLUTE MED KICK BACK
