If you can’t throw and catch, you can’t play softball. Mistakes I see as a coach that makes kids inconsistent when throwing. 1. They DO NOT tuck their glove when throwing. This leads to them throwing the ball off-line or not throwing the ball as hard as they could. This is the #1 thing that you should look for as a parent or as a player to fix. 2. That back elbow drops down, allowing for the ball to get thrown in different directions. The back elbow dropping also does not allow for the ball to get thrown hard this early in their career. 3.
