This benignant voice, burning in my soul, overcome the shades of despair and utter darkness which, near and yet abandoned, had enveloped my vision. Overcome my foes with subtlety, like unto that joyous spirit which kneels and bids it be sweet. Hereafter the sun shall in part be changed into flame, and a noon flame will liken to its own place.

If I wanted to point someone to Steve Roach's music, I'd start them here. This record spans some of Roach's signature styles, like the percolating synths in "Currents of Compassion", the dreamy abstraction of "Prometheus Passage", the tribal rhythms of "The Gone Place", and the elegiac majesty of "What Remains". It's stunning all around and guaranteed to make any day better. fyeahmetal

This album will grow on you. Listen in headphones or earbuds. It will blow your mind. Steve has so many amazing textures and dimensions on this release. It's hard to pick a favorite track. Probably in his top 5, if there is such a thing. 53Guitarman
