Bird Watching

We are bird watching. You would think I could teach the kids a lot about bird watching, me being a cat and all... I know about being still and watching very closely.

But no. These kids watched this eagle in Minnesota on an eagle cam. They can watch from the classroom on a computer. Kinda takes the fun all out of it.

Then I learned how big an eagle really is.  Their wingspan is bigger than Mom is tall.  So I guess I will watch the eagles with the kids on the computer after all.

I am furry impressed with all the things kids learn in school. This has been a very fun week.

Monday Bird Watching

You should hear it here in the morning. The birds sing up a storm. It's amazing. There was nothing like this at the old place. I can hear, and watch birds from so many places. From pretty much ANY spot in the house.  Here I am watching several birds at once. It's pawesome.

Snow Showers Saturday

There has been a lot of melting going on, but yes, that dusty white stuff on the ground is what you think it is.  The weather guys say we should get between 1 - 3 inches, but the afternoon temps are supposed to be above freezing so it won't last long.

A new season of Bird TV has started and I am watching.

Bird TV - Cancelled!

Holy carp! Check this out!  My cat hammock is gone, and the bush outside is almost GONE!!!
Some guys came over yesterday with REALLY LOUD MACHINES and shaved the bush outside where the birds usually hang out.
Lookit!  Almost gone!  Hardly any leaves at all, and no birds!  That really sucks the big one.

Mom says the bush will grow, but I think the birds will find someplace else to hang out.

Mom had taken fleece off the cat hammock to wash it.  She put it back later.  That's nice, but I'm gonna miss the birds.

Formerly Feral Friday

Every day I watch the little birdies flit around outside my window. They put on quite a show, and I am lucky enough to have a terrific view.

It's been sunny and warm the last few days, and because we didn't get a lot of snow this winter, it is very dry. We are actually hoping for some rain soon. In the meantime, though, I'm going to enjoy the view and the smells.

Tuesday Tuesday

Oh my Bast!  Can you see them?  There are almost a squillion birdies in the bush outside my window.
Can you see them now? Mom sneaked the flashy box between  the mini blinds to take this picture. I know it's kinda fuzzy, but there are LOTS of birdies out there.
Did my Mom put the cat hammock in the right place or what?
