I decided to host Cousin Camp at my house this week. I don't know why. Call me crazy. At least I limited it to the kids that are close in age to my kids. The kids have 14 cousins on my side ranging in age from 22 to 4. I don't think I could wrangle and entertain such a diverse group! Our craft to day was Cousin Camp pillow cases. They were a hit. As the kids grew into teenagers I wondered, “Will these older kids still want to come to Cousin Camp?” Amazingly they all have. Each year we are intentional in turning over more of the leadership to the older kids. They lead some of the Bible studies, help prepare the obstacle course, and give us all sorts of ideas. Often the little ones respond more to an older cousin than to a grandparent! BIGFOOT COUSIN CAMP

We decided to have a Cousin Camp, now that the cousins are getting older. There are six little boys between the ages of 4 and 7 on my side of the family.
