This peice is an example of Emphasis because the fish is made to stand out in contrast to the blue “water” background. The fish being made up of different oranges emphasizes the fish in the water. The placement also emphasizes the fish as moving rather than if it was placed directly in the middle it wouldnt feel like movement.

Emphasis is shown here by centering the focus of the piece. It also makes the umbrella pop by using bright colors compared to the others shown. This is also the only umbrella where the viewer can see part of the persons face.

Area that demands attention

Skills don’t flourish under expertise, get out of the comfort zone, limit your palette and paint your favorite Perfectly Mixed Black And White Paintings. Black and white, after all, are the best medium for landscape.

For the Principles of Design I did balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, and rhythm. The hardest I thought was rhythm because you had to combine movement and pattern together.
