One dahlia per pot is enough because they grow into quite bushy plants with multiple flowers through the season. In larger pots, you can pad them out with a dahlia plus some smaller summer bulbs around the edge which also flower through the season, such as begonias or callas.

• 30cm pot is just big enough for one dahlia to grow.

• 40cm pot can fit one dahlia plus three smaller summer bulbs.

• 50cm pot can fit one dahlia plus up to six smaller summer bulbs. We recommend pairing dahlias in big pots with callas or begonias because they also flower all through summer and most of autumn.
