Portland head lighthouse

The oldest lighthouse in Maine, Portland Head Lighthouse was commissioned by President George Washington in 1791, and its tower still exists as when commissioned. It's tower is 80 feet high, with the height of the focal plane being 101 feet above the water. It is located in Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth at the southern approach to Portland Harbor in Casco Bay.
