The no dig method is great for soil health and minimising disturbance, it is often less work and can benefit the environment too 🦋 The vegetable beds are simply prepared by covering the ground with organic matter, such as cardboard, twigs and branches, leaves, food scraps and garden compost. 

In mine I’ve:

* Covered the grass with cardboard and watered it down. This helps suppress weeds. The cardboard needs to be ‘naked’ - no tape, stickers or plastic coatings
* Added branches and leaves. These are great organic matter to add and it’s a bonus that I just have some in my garden for free! 
* Added a mixture of manure, top soil and compost.
