There are three types of tundra biome; arctic, antarctic and alpine. While the biodiversity here is less than the other biomes, the animals that do abide are quite unique.

The Torngat Mountains are named after the Inuktitut word ‘Tongait’, ‘place of spirits'. The Inuit have lived here for centuries still fish/hunt across the tundra valleys where the polar bears roam.
