I remember the first time I read about Jesus and Mary at the wedding of Cana, I was a bit confused. Jesus was calling Mary “Woman” and telling her his hour had not yet come. Was he dishonoring her or was something else happening? Using our modern English translations and culture we can sometimes miss the meaning.
