Within this dime-a-dozen world I swear they must've broke the mold Cuz you're the only soul I've met that I would kill to call my own. Let it be known, I'm not aggressive, or possessive All I know is, I would kill to make you mine and I am usually not this bold Let it be known... Let it be known... Let it be known... Let it be known... I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything at all Anybody's anything at all Anybody's anything at all I'm rather small, yet all my shortcomings stand tall I've crawled upon my hands & knees out of the fear that I could fall And through it all it's left me withered, feeling bitter bought & sold, been told I'm not the nicest person that you'll ever get to know Let it be known Let it be known Let it be known Let it be known I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything at all Anybody's anything at all Anybody's anything at all Weaving through this dust I trust nobody else but us I must admit It'd take some years for me to walk without this crutch So on and such, I'd still be fucked If I am forced to walk alone and should I crumble at your feet I'll hold us both accountable Let it be known Let it be known Let it be known Let it be known I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything I never wanted to be anybody's anything at all Anybody's anything at all Anybody's anything at all Anybody's anything at all at all I never wanted to be anybody's anything...

Burnin' is my condition, baby now, Burnin' with everything that I see. Burnin' is my solution, baby now, I know you think that you're better than me. I can barely feel like anything. I can barely see. I can walk over broken glass, That cuts like a razor through my fantasies. I can be whatever I want to. It doesn't matter to me. I sit and stare at this gun, Pointed at my head and think about all the possibilities. Burnin' is my condition, baby now, Burnin' with everything that I see. Burnin' is my solution, baby now, I know you think that you're better than me. I never needed to feel any self control. I never had to believe, In anything, but my desire to never be, What you tell me to be. I can die whenever I want to. It doesn't matter to me. Take the easy way out, To end all of my responsibilities. Burnin' is my condition, baby now, Burnin' with everything that I see. Burnin' is my solution, baby now, I know you think that you're better than me.

about

As we've been working out new templates for the next phase of Derision Cult one of the things that's been fun to do is cover some tracks in our own flavor. Thinking about this we zeroed in on two artists from Illinois that had a massive influence on us (albeit in very different ways). We originally kicked around calling this tiny EP "FIBS" but decided only people from Wisconsin and Eastern Iowa would know the "Fuckin Illinois Bastards" reference. Alas, this is some Flyover Noise we really dig and hope you do too!
