The Ukrainian IT market has encountered a new wave of sophisticated online fraud. Criminals are actively parasitizing on the artificial intelligence trend, creating the image of progressive international startups. They lure job seekers with attractive conditions, conduct quite convincing interviews, and at the onboarding stage, they drain money from bank cards under the pretext of purchasing corporate software or access to the internal knowledge base.

After being laid off, a Ukrainian IT specialist said he was tired of looking for work in the industry, and asked electricians what salary they could expect and which specializations were currently in greatest demand.

Uninterrupted internet for the occupiers and the ability to control drones or even cruise missiles in real time hundreds of kilometers deep into Ukraine — this is exactly the strategic threat posed by the Russian satellite system "Rassvet". The Russians are creating a militarized analogue of Starlink, which will allow them to select targets right during the drone's flight. Mykhailo Fedorov recorded an address to the Ukrainian people on the eve of the appointment of a new defense minister. In it, he talks about the protracted war, the future of Ukrainian democracy, corruption, the crisis of public administration, and the need for a new social contract between the state and citizens. The appeal appeared against the backdrop of personnel changes in the Ministry of Defense. On August 18, President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the candidacy of Major General Yevheniy Khmara for the position of Minister of Defense. At the same time, the head of state submitted the candidacy of Andriy Sybiga for the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. Khmara is currently serving as Minister of Defense. To be appointed to the position of Minister, he must resign from military service, as the law requires that the Minister of Defense be a civilian. In his speech, Fedorov said that Ukraine cannot remain in a temporary regime if the war continues for years, and democracy must not become «hostage to Russia.» He also called for greater accountability of the authorities, the fight against corruption, and changes to the system of public administration.
