Narration:

Every Christmas Eve at three o'clock in the afternoon,
all the Swedish populace sit down by the television set
and watch an hour of "Donald Duck and his Friends
Wish You A Merry Christmas."

As you might expect, it was a combination of
Christmas-themed shorts, coupled with scenes from the
company's feature films, all presented by JIminy Cricket and Mickey Mouse.

First broadcast in Sweden on December 24 in 1960, the show would
be rerun annually from then on, again and again and again.

Of course it would be a tradition to all of us religiously watching once a year.

It has come to the point that any attempt to tamper with the sacred relic, in even minor ways, has been met with actual real public outrage.

Things should just be the way they've always been. Or rather, how we think they've always been.
