Thirteenth-century Iberian sources reveal the multisensory practices of space and how they related to representations and manifestations of trust. Challenging the assumption that spatial and social boundaries were rigidly defined by sex, this study shows how women's access or exclusion from spheres of power and social communication also relied on trust.
