Efecto del uso del software chemsketch en las competencias cognitivas en la asignatura de química orgánica

    La presente investigación, cuyo título Efecto del uso del Software Chemsketch en las competencias cognitivas en la asignatura de química orgánica, surge de la necesidad de mejorar los aprendizajes en la asignatura de química orgánica, a través del uso de recursos tecnológicos modernos y actualizados, en este caso el software Chemsketch, partiendo de un diagnóstico, luego el diseño de sesiones utilizando el referido software y luego la verificación del avance en el aprendizaje mediante el uso del recurso mencionado.

    El trabajo se ha realizado con 144 estudiantes de la carrera de Ingeniería Forestal, contamos además con dos grupos control de Ingeniería Agroindustrial y Medicina Veterinaria, a quienes se les aplicó un pretest y un postest, hemos tenido como eje central la hipótesis: el uso del software ChemSketch mejora las competencias cognitivas en la asignatura de química orgánica de los estudiantes del III y IV ciclo de las carreras de Ingeniería Forestal de la UNACH.

    Hemos llegado a la conclusión: se ha logrado desarrollar las competencias cognitivas de una mejor manera en el grupo experimental, con el uso del software ChemSketch, puesto que en la prueba de hipótesis de Kolmogorov-Smirnov observamos que hubo incremento de 8.84 unidades en la media, mientras que en el grupo control esta media fue de 2.37 unidades.

    The present research, whose title Effect of the use of Chemsketch software on cognitive skills in the subject of organic chemistry, arises from the need to improve learning in the subject of organic chemistry, through the use of resources that science and technology offers us, in this case the Chemsketch software, based on a diagnosis, then the design of sessions using the referred software and then the verification of the progress in learning through the use of the mentioned resource.

    The work has been carried out with 144 students of the Environmental Engineering careers, we also have with two control groups of Agribusiness Engineering and Veterinary Medicine, to whom a pretest and postest was applied, we have had as a central axis hypothesis: the use of ChemSketch software improves the Cognitive competences in the subject of organic chemistry of the students of the III and IV cycle of the Forest Engineering career of UNACH.

    We have reached the conclusion: cognitive skills have been developed in a better way in the experimental group, with the use of ChemSketch software, since in the Kolmogorov-Smirnov hypothesis test we observed that there was an increase of 8.84 units in the average, while in the control group this average was 2.37 units.
