- Use quotation marks to search for an exact phrase.
- Use + (no space) before a word or phrase to make it required.
- Use – (no space) before a word or phrase to exclude it.
- Use OR, AND, and NOT (uppercase) to create Boolean logic within a field. You can use parentheses in your complex expressions.
- Use ? as a wildcard to replace a single character in a word. Use * to replace multiple characters in a word. You cannot use wildcards at the beginning of a word or in an exact phrase search.
