Have you taught your student the C/K Rule? Since ‘c’ and ‘k’ both make the same sound sometimes, it can cause confusion for our young students.

This weeks edition is going to focus on anchor charts that support phonics instruction. If you have followed me for a while then you know I am big on using multisensory techniques when teaching. Here's a way to solve the problem of your students asking you which letter to use at the beginning of words - c or k.

This week we covered a lot of information in a little bit of time. Our letter of the week was C. We reviewed when to us C or K with spelling. Here is our anchor chart we made to help us remember. We also discussed the difference in day and night. In Math, we worked in composing shapes from smaller shapes. Things will be back to normal next week. :)
