I'm not sure I left enough black showing in this one... I may go back in, or more likely just paint another version... I have no problem with painting more than one black creature! It is always good to look at something from a distance. In this photo, the bird's beak looks really close to the edge of the frame and it isn't actually that close... I stand, stretching and yawning as I look up at the sky. It's a clear night, and the stars are shining brightly. The wind blows through the dead leaves of this dark tree. No soul wanders around here.

Midnight crow- 7x14 stretched canvas done in acrylics sealed with krylon. I free hand painted this with out a pre sketch so this one to has some imperfections. Just a simple crow at night sitting on a fence post with trees in the background another folk art type piece.
