This illustration was created to show how the dead souls walking towards the gate would interact with Kratos when they get close and how they would feel the cold even when they're dead. The area needed to feel really cold and the gate had to look big inside the monolith with lot of atmospheric light. It is my favorite piece out of all the concepts I've done for GoW and had the most fun with. Worked with Luke Berliner and Raf Grassetti on this illustration. Follow me on instagram…
