Barberini Faun or Drunken Satyr, life-size marble Hellenistic sculpture of 3rd or 2nd century BC. A faun is the Roman equivalent of a Greek satyr. In Greek mythology, satyrs were human-like male woodland spirits with a goat-like tail, hooves and ears. It was found in 1625 in the moat below the Castel Sant'Angelo, Rome.
