Strata Ink on Instagram: "Sappanwood or Eastern Brazilwood makes such beautiful lake pigments. Both of these were made from a workshop’s left over dye bath. The first one was made with alum and soda ash. The second one is an exhaust (made from the left over liquid from the first one) made with alum and calcium carbonate. You can see and hear the difference. The pigments are now shelf stable and can be used to make paints, pastels, or almost any other artist material. #lakepigment #lakepigments #earthpigment #naturaldying #homemadepaint #homemadewatercolor #sappanwood #artistmaterials #handmadepigments #artsupply #leftoverdye" Lake Pigments, Homemade Watercolors, Homemade Paint, Soda Ash, Earth Pigments, Natural Dyeing, Artist Materials, Calcium Carbonate, How To Make Paint
