Cut small horizontal incisions down the front and/or back length of the tight. This is easier to do while you are actually wearing them. You can stretch the incisions to varying widths, and you can also create a shredded look by pulling up vertically on the raw edges to create runs in the stocking. The more you play with the fabric the more of a distressed look you can achieve. Play around with different fabrics and densities for a variety of looks.
